The Revelers Box
$95
PL-000099 · Figural brass dressing-table box · 20th centuryA small round brass box conceived with the exuberance of a much grander object. Its richly worked lid gathers musicians, figures and trailing foliage around a classical female portrait, transforming an intimate container into a miniature decorative tableau. A piece meant to be discovered first from across a room, and then slowly read at close range.
Condition
Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface variation and patina. Please see all photographs for detail.
A note about vintage
Patina & Light objects have lived before. Small marks, softened edges, surface variation, patina and signs of handling are part of that history. We photograph and describe condition carefully, but we do not expect an old object to look new — nor would we want it to.
Please review all photographs and condition notes before purchasing. Questions, additional photographs and measurements are always welcome.
We believe age should be understood, not erased.
