PL-000021 · Circa early 20th centurySlag-glass and cast-metal two-light table lamp. An architectural dome of softly marbled glass is held beneath an extraordinary framework of pierced lattice, scrolling cartouches and foliate ornament. Below, a darkened reeded column rises from a deeply cast foot, its original character preserved in layers of oxidation, wear and age. Twin pull-chain sockets remain hidden beneath the shade, allowing the lamp's intricate metalwork and luminous glass to command the eye.
