English Hammered Brass Coal Scuttle

PL-000091 · Circa 1930s–1950sA sculptural English fireside scuttle formed in hammered brass, its helmet-shaped body rising in sweeping curves around a substantial pivoting handle. Riveted construction, a stepped foot and decades of darkened surface variation speak to its original utilitarian life beside the hearth. Stamped “Made in England.”
Condition
