Brass Ram’s-Head Jardinière

$175

PL-000093 · Circa 1890–1920, attributedA substantial brass jardinière raised upon a flared pedestal foot, its cylindrical body punctuated by opposing cast ram masks with deeply curled horns and foliate ornament. The restrained architectural form contrasts beautifully with the theatrical mounts, while a richly mottled surface of old gold, brown and traces of verdigris records generations of age and use.

Condition

Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface variation and patina. Please see all photographs for detail.

A note about vintage

Patina & Light objects have lived before. Small marks, softened edges, surface variation, patina and signs of handling are part of that history. We photograph and describe condition carefully, but we do not expect an old object to look new — nor would we want it to.

Please review all photographs and condition notes before purchasing. Questions, additional photographs and measurements are always welcome.

We believe age should be understood, not erased.
