PL-000089 · Circa late 19th–early 20th centuryAn aged brass casket of wonderfully simple construction, its barrel-form lid secured by a hand-worked decorative hasp, with drop handles at each end. Decades of handling have softened the brass into a beautifully mottled surface — more archive than ornament, and all the better for it.
